Where are the jobs?
We find them for you. or rather our Placement Director does. Utilizing an extensive data base, contacts, inside information and a host of other available resources (not the least of which are the large number of bar owners and managers who proactively contact us when they have openings), we document and publish a new, updated list each and every week. This list is made available only to NBS grads and includes neighborhood sports bars, hotels, card clubs and casinos, dance clubs, night clubs, jazz clubs, restaurants and bistros, caterers, country clubs, bowling alleys, lounges, banquet halls, conventions, cruise ships, event planners and even private parties.

We have a wealth of experience to draw on and a reputation of supplying highly qualified individuals to bar owners and managers. That's why these employers keep coming back to us to hire our graduates. Over 45% of the students taking the course at the Mt. View campus are referrals, which speaks volumes about the quality of the program and the level of satisfaction achieved by both our grads and the employers who hire them. This means we can't be successful unless you are.
The variety of jobs in the bartending world (full time and part time, day and evening, weekday and weekend) is only surpassed by the variety of different types of venues that always need bartenders. Being a bartender means having a valuable skilled trade that you can use as a career or to supplement your income. If you're doing something else with your life, put in your back pocket and pull it out whenever you need it. Because whenever you do need it, these kind of jobs will be always be available. Not many other vocations can offer that high degree of job security. Bartending will not be automated, it won't be sent somewhere cheaper to operate and it won't be replaced every three years with the latest technology.
