About Our Bartending School

Thanks for your interest in National Bartenders Bartending School. National Bartenders School has been in the business of training bartenders for over 20 years, the Casino College has trained casino dealers for over 12 years. We have been at our present location here in Mountain View, California for more then 10 years. That kind of longevity is indicative of the success we’ve experienced over the years helping people find a new direction in their career and in their lives. We serve the entire Bay Area, including San Francisco, San Jose, Southbay, Eastbay, Oakland & Peninsula.
Our Bartending Course takes 40 hours. We offer three Bartending Classes a day
(morning, afternoon and evening). So one class a day lets you finish in two
weeks and two classes a day gets you done in one week. However, you are under
no time constraints. If you prefer to take more time, that is completely up
to you. The programs are designed to be self-paced which ensure you are
comfortable with the information, knowledge and skill sets we train you in. You tell us when you are ready to test out, not the other way around. At any time, you may repeat any class or repeat several of the classes or repeat the entire course. There is never an additional charge for this and it is a lifetime benefit that can be used while enrolled or anytime after graduation. For the Bartender School, the final exam consists of a written and practical (pour) evaluation.
 
Upon satisfactory completion of the bartender course final
exam, you are awarded your certificate and have immediate access to our job
placement assistance program. We are also now offering Online Job Placement Assistance. This is also a lifetime benefit and there is also never an additional charge for this service. Placement assistance can be utilized not only in the San Francisco Bay Area, but at over 150 affiliated Bartending Schools across the US. Simply show them your certificate and they’ll treat you like you came out of their Bartending School for purposes of both placement and refresher classes, no charge.
Our instructors are all experienced professional bartenders. They are skilled,
patient, knowledgeable and friendly, with a great deal of inside information to convey to their students. The emphasis is hands-on training: In the bartender school, each class starts with lecture and demonstration. But after that, everyone goes behind the bar and spends the balance of the class mixing drinks and practicing the recipes taught that day. More then 75% of the students time is spent this way because this is where the real learning takes place… by doing. The school’s cocktail lounge classroom contains front and back bars, bar sinks, speed racks, ice bins and cocktail units, soda guns, mixing equipment, blenders, garnish trays, ice machine, bar stools, hundreds of assorted bar glassware, liquor bottles and mixes. You’ll learn speed and free pouring techniques that uncertified bartenders never learn. You’ll also learn how to pour several drinks at a time, using the correct glassware, the importance of presentation, the different types and varieties of liquor, including their origin and history. These special skills clearly distinguish a professional from an amateur and will distinguish you when you apply for a job.
